Premimum Multifocal and Toric Lenses

If you need cataract surgery and you want the greatest freedom from eyeglasses after surgery, you might want to consider multifocal or toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) to expand your range of clear vision.

In the past, the primary goal of cataract surgery was to restore a person's vision for driving, watching television, and other distance vision tasks. To see clearly up close, a person would need to wear bifocals or reading glasses after cataract removal to correct the inevitable post-surgical presbyopia.

Today, cataract patients have the choice of premium intraocular lenses that can correct vision in a way that reduces the use of glasses.

These advanced lenses are in many ways similar to bifocal and multifocal contact lenses, but because multifocal IOLs are implanted inside the eye, they don't require any care and routine replacement like contact lenses do.

Most patients who choose multifocal or toric intraocular lenses are able to enjoy daily activities without glasses and only need glasses occasionally for very small print.

At Smart Eye Care we utilize all FDA approved lenses from major companies such as Restore lens from Alcon, Symphony and Technis from Abbott and Crystalens accommodative lens from Bausch & Lomb. We are confident that we can find a great solution that will work for you.
